Panelists: How digitalisation drives change in the medtech industry

 

 

Andreas Abel

Andreas holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Basel and after working in a PostDoc position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has held a number of positions in industry over the last twenty years.

He has worked at BÜHLMANN Laboratories AG, a Swiss IVD SME, for over ten years and is now Chief Technology Officer and a member of the Executive Committee.

 

Christian Frei

Christian Frei, an expert in the digital industrial revolution, coaches individuals and organisations to proactively disrupt their industries and succeed in this evolving business paradigm.

He is CEO and board member of InspiredView. Christian is a speaker, coach to company executives and leaders, supporting them to adapt to the fourth industrial revolution.

 

Immo Oliver Paul

Paul is a Swiss citizen, 47 years old, multilingual and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law and Business Administration and a Master’s degree in International Management from the University of St.Gallen. He is a tech enthusiast and longevity researcher, and is deeply passionate about the value and utility of new forms of mobile health technology and its ensuing consumer applications and benefits. Immo has worked in strategy consulting for American and European management consulting companies. In 2008 he took up an invitation to become a serial entrepreneur in Brazil and (co-) founded several companies driving the development, distribution and sales of ‘wellness’ and consumer health products.

 

Andy Tonazzi

Andy Tonazzi brings over 15 years of experience in various leadership positions in service oriented companies. He started with a technical focussed education and has studied leadership and management.

Andy Tonazzi was given the responsibility for sales and key account management in 2009. One year later he was named CEO of konplan and successfully closed a management buyout in 2012. Since then he developed the company to well positioned player in the Swiss Engineering market for Medical Devices and Mechatronic Systems with close to 50 highly skilled employees.

 

Georg von der Ropp

He is a BMI Advisory partner at BMI Lab AG. He supports companies in the development and implementation of business model innovation. After an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at Siemens AG he studied computer science at Munich Technical University. His academic education was completed with an Executive MBA degree from the University of St. Gallen. His many years of experience in large companies in the IT and consulting industries led Georg to the key challenge of how to innovate and transform companies successfully. Prior, he had several leadership positions at Capgemini Germany, most recently as vice president in the CTO field, focusing on digital transformation and cooperation with start-ups.
